PAWS SHELTER AND HUMANE SOCIETY CELEBRATES 25 YEARS!

Between our family’s three households in Dripping Springs, we have a total of eight dogs. All rescues – one from a shelter in Oklahoma, one from a dying neighbor, two from Austin rescue groups, and one found injured and dumped on the side of the road. And three from PAWS Shelter and Humane Society who, this year, celebrates its 25th Anniversary. Without PAWS, a no-kill shelter, the fate of these dogs would have been much different and our lives would be less rich.

For the past quarter century, PAWS has provided shelter and rescue to thousands of animals from Dripping Springs, Wimberley, Buda, Kyle, Blanco, San Marcos, and beyond. We are active PAWS volunteers and proud to be so. Thank you to the hard-working shelter staff, fellow volunteers, and kind donors, who keep the shelter doors open, for everything you do. To mark the milestone PAWS is holding an open house at the shelter in Kyle (500 FM 150 East) on Friday from 4pm – 6pm.  The celebration continues with an Adopt-a-thon on Saturday, July 16, from 11am – 5pm and special hours on Sunday, July 17, from 12pm – 4pm. Adopters of PAWS dogs or cats during the Adopt-a-thon will also receive a leash or collar, adoption moment photo, and 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Commemorative t-shirt. T-shirts also available with a minimum donation of $25.
