Last week we were excited to note that Morning Glory Farm would now be selling cheese from Texas Daily Harvest at the Dripping Springs Farmers Market. We usually hit the farmers market early, but had to run into Austin Saturday morning and didn't get back until closer to noon. Lots of others were apparently excited about the cheese as well as we just nabbed the last package. It was the cheddar and it did not disappoint! Indeed, ate almost half the package just slicing off chunks while waiting for burgers to cook. Tasted of happy cows and a sea salt whisper. What was left of the cheese went on our burgers made with ground beef from pastured, grass-fed, organic beef from farmers market vendor Brownson Rockin' B Ranch and slathered with Sweet Onion Ketchup by Drippin' Sauce. Our burger-making vendors are all set to be at this Saturday's market along with local producers and purveyors of seasonal vegetable, teas and tinctures, farm fresh eggs, waffle, muffin and pancake mixes, breads, cookies, and brownies, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, soaps and lotions, and more. The Dripping Springs Farmers Market is from 9am - Noon on Saturday at The Triangle (RR 12 @ Hwy 290).
