He is a former Dripping Springs City Councilman, 40-year veteran of the city's Fire Department, and the featured subject of the next "Voices of Hays County History" series of oral history interviews sponsored by the Hays County Historical Commission  (HCHC). The free video screening of the Garnett oral history is Thursday at 6:30pm at the Dripping Springs Community Library, located at 501 Sportsplex Drive.

On Friday from 7pm -11pm, Domingo's Mexican Grill hosts live music by EVOLUTION,  a 4 person soul/R&B/Jazz/Latin combo featuring vocalist Mariah Garrett.  Domingo's is located at 3991 E. Hwy 290, near Sunset Canyon, at the site of the former "Stadium" restaurant.

On Sunday, the Barber Shop brewpub (207 Mercer) uncorks the first of its new semi-weekly Sunday wine tastings with local wineries. The free wine tasting starts at 3pm with wines by Westcave Cellars. Wine will also be available by the glass and bottle.

Drippin' Dancin' twirls again on Sunday from 6pm - 9pm at The Goodnight Diner on Mercer St. in downtown Dripping Springs. Live music by The Dripping Springs All-Stars (including Alex Dormont, Lonnie Atkinson and Joe Bullock). BYOB.
