DRIPPING MONDAY (ON A SUNDAY): THE WEEK AHEAD
The Pound House Summer Music Series kicks off on Tuesday from 7pm-8:30pm with a salute to Flag Day. The outdoor evening jam, under the live oak trees at the Dr. Pound House Pioneer Farmstead, will feature the Double Eagle String Band, a 5-member hot string ensemble that plays traditional music from the Civil War to World War II, and can do everything from ballads to breakdance. Bring your dancing shoes, something to drink, and a blanket to sit on with the kids, who will also enjoy ice cream and popcorn for sale from The Big Drip. The event is free but please consider supporting our local musicians with a contribution to the tip jar. The outdoor music series will continue throughout the summer (next dates are Sunday, July 3, and Tuesday, August 9).
