DRIPPING WEEKEND

Dripping Springs United Methodist Church holds their Annual UMW Garage Sale Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, and Saturday, 8:30am - 3pm. Items include furniture, a 2000 Volvo car you can bid on, tools, appliances, computers, household items, clothing, toys, books, plants etc. All proceeds benefit local and church missions.

The Hillside Concert Series continues its family-friendly concert series in Dripping Springs on Saturday on the grassy knoll at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit. Bring a picnic, wine, chairs, or roll out a blanket. Concert featuring Celeste Gamble starts at 6:30pm.

Live Chef Demonstration at the Dripping Springs Farmers Market on Saturday featuring Chef Chris Huffman of The Goodnight Diner. For this creative presentation, Chef Huffman shops for seasonal produce at the market from local growers and then demonstrates simple cooking techniques you can use at home. A limited number of reusable shopping bags will be given away by the Texas Department of Agriculture. Enjoy free tasty samples and take home recipes. Bring the kids! The chef demo should be around 10am-ish. The Dripping Springs Farmers Market is from 9am - Noon at The Triangle (RR12 and 290).

The Second Annual Buckle Series Play Day at Harrison Ranch Park continues Sunday. Divisions are Buckaroos (13 and under) Ranch Hands (14-19) Wranglers (Novice Adults) and Maverick (open). Event classes include Versatile Pleasure, Barrels and Poles (traditional and alternate patterns) Trails and one fun timed event (to be announced) at each play day. Participants must be in four of the six play days to qualify for the end of series awards. For more information, visit dswildwestfest.com.
