As most of us are very aware, the drought is upon all of western Hays County. To preserve a record of data for future drought condition scenarios, the Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District (HTGCD) is encouraging anyone to document their “dry well” or “lowering of their pump” by filling out the Dry Well Reporting Form on the HTGCD website. If you have experienced problems with the water-level in your well dropping below your pump or your well going completely dry, HTGCD asks that you supply as much information as you are comfortable providing to assist them in gathering information regarding water levels changes within the area. Information you submit may be subject to public information requests, so only submit as much information as you are comfortable with the public potentially seeing.
