FARMERS MARKET FIND: PHOENIX RISING BAKERY PIZZA CRUST

Regular readers know we support our Dripping Springs Farmers Market. We're there just about every Saturday the market is open. Sometimes we have a shopping plan, but more often than not we mosey about in an undecided daze. On one of those dazed days, we happened upon the pizza crusts from vendor Phoenix Rising Bakery. The crusts are made from organic wheat, parbaked in the bakery's oven, and sold in packs of four for $7. When you get home, store in the freezer until you're ready for pizza, then add your favorite toppings, and bake in the oven for about 8 minutes at 450 degrees. We're fans of a "pizza margherita," so we top with a simple tomato sauce, torn fresh basil leaves, and fresh mozzarella. The Phoenix Rising Bakery pizza crust is thin and crispy, quick and easy, and and it is now one of our favorite farmers market finds.

The Dripping Springs Farmers Market is Saturday from 9am - Noon at The Triangle (RR 12 and Hwy 290).
