HAYS COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS HONORED + DRIFTWOOD FIREFIGHTER'S FEAST ON MAY 22

On Tuesday, the Hays County Commissioners Court honored 23 area firefighters who recently returned from fighting wildfires throughout the state. The firefighters deployed on short notice at the request of the Texas Forest Service to help fellow firefighters battle fires that ranged from far West Texas to near Fort Worth.

And speaking of awesome local firefighters, on Sunday, May 22 the Driftwood Volunteer Fire Department invites the community for their 6th Annual Firefighter’s Feast from Noon - 4pm at the Salt Lick Pavilion. The event brings together neighbors, friends, and family to benefit the Driftwood Volunteer Fire Department. For more information, visit the DVFD website at driftwoodvfd.com.
