First the shout out. A few months ago, we featured a PAWS dog of the week whose story touched the heart of  a Babble reader at Texas Powersports. While they couldn't adopt a dog at that time, they sent in a donation to cover the adoption fee for whomever eventually did. PAWS kept the donation on file and, a couple of months later when the dog was adopted, the family was very surprised to learn that their adoption fee had already been taken care of by a stranger's random act of kindness. The family then paid it forward by making a donation to the shelter. The shelter let us know what Texas Powersports did and that there was not a dry eye in the house that day. Thank you, Texas Powersports!

PAWS DOG OF THE WEEK: SICILY
This 11 month old Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix is refined and calm and great with other dogs no matter what size. She's Great Pyrenees and Border Collie for goodness sake — sweet and smart!

Also, PAWS' Dinner By the Bite - Springs Bites is May 5 — Cinco de Mayo! This is the eighth incarnation of Dinner By the Bite. We've been to six of them and had a fantastic time every time. We're particularly excited about this May 5 event because it promises a Cinco de Mayo twist from the popular local chefs and Republic Tequila will be serving cocktails.
