DRIPPING MONDAY
On Wednesday, from from 7pm – 8:30pm, the Hays County Constable’s Office (Precinct 4), will be hosting a Crime Watch Discussion Group Meeting at the Hays County Precinct 4 Office/Annex, 195 Roger Hanks Parkway. This is an open forum of discussion and the public is encouraged to attend. Topics of discussion will include: Crime Statistics, The Neighborhood Crime Watch Program, Home Protection and Crime Prevention, Safety Tips for Young Children, and Safety Tips for Seniors. Wesley Gallery (27008 RR 12) hosts the Austin Fiber Arts Show this weekend. Opening wine and refreshments reception from 6 - 9pm on Friday. Saturday hours are 10am - 5pm, and on Sunday Noon - 5pm. See original quilting, weaving, sewing, felting, knitting, dying, crocheting, embroidery, papermaking, sculpture, wall art, garment design and accessories. Artists will demonstrate their unique art techniques and answer your questions on Saturday and Sunday. Refreshments will also be provided.
On Sunday, Westcave Preserve holds a free admission, open house from Noon - 3pm. Enjoy a tour from an arid savannah through a limestone crevice into a sheltered canyon of lush plant life. At the head of the canyon stands Westcave, with a 40-foot waterfall replenishing the emerald pool below. Specialized tour guides will share their expertise on birds, butterflies, insects, wildflowers and geology. There will also be face painting, story telling and a picnic area for all the family to enjoy. The hike into the canyon and back is roughly one mile, so visitors should wear comfortable shoes. Drippin' Dancin' twirls again on Sunday from 6 - 9pm at The Goodnight Diner (330 Mercer) in downtown Dripping Springs. Live music, featuring your favorite two-steps and waltzes, by the Dripping Springs All-Stars. Free admission. For more information email Alex Dormont at gaspd@hillcountrytx.net
