COUNTDOWN TO FOUNDERS DAY

We're just one month to the annual Founders Day Festival, now in its 24th year. The festival is April 15-17 in downtown Dripping Springs and includes a “Grand Parade,” free music and entertainment on two stages, the Mighty Thomas Carnival, food, beer, street dances, cook-off competitions and more than 150 arts and crafts booths and business vendors.

Hosted by the City of Dripping Springs and the Founders Day Commission, which includes representatives of various community organizations, the proceeds from the festival are donated back into the community and directly benefit local non-profit organizations, churches, school and park programs, youth groups, and charities.

The admission to the festival has remained free throughout the years because of the many sponsors, local businesses and organizations that help cover expenses such as festival security, sanitation, barricades, tents, trash pick-up and publicity for the event. Organizers are requesting additional support from local businesses and individuals to cover basic costs of the festival. Sponsorships which include ideal advertising and recognition opportunities are available for as little as $250.

Sponsorship forms can be found online at the Founders Day Festival home page at foundersdayfestival.com or at the Dripping Springs City Hall at 511 Mercer Street. For additional information, please call Dripping Springs City Hall at 512-858-4725.
