SLICK WILLY'S READING BUDDY PROGRAM AT THE LIBRARY

On Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 - 4:30pm, beginning March 22 and continuing through May, you will find Slick Willy at the Dripping Springs Community Library.

Slick Willy is a registered canine therapy dog with the important job of encouraging young readers – he loves to listen to stories. He offers attentive but nonjudgmental encouragement through his warm and furry nature while his owner and trainer, Judy Johnson, supervises and acts as Willy’s interpreter.

The Slick Willy’s Reading Budding Program is free of charge, but registration is required. Interested parents can register their children now for one-on-one fifteen minute sessions with this special dog on alternating weeks.  For more details about this reading incentive program, telephone the library at (512) 858-7825, visit the library’s website, dscl.org , or email marie@dscl.org .

The Dripping Springs Community Library is located at 501 Sportsplex Drive just off Highway 290, in the heart of Dripping Springs. The library serves all residents of Hays County and/or the Dripping Springs Independent School District, and all persons employed or enrolled in a college located in Hays County free of charge.
