#6 Dripping’s Local Shopkeepers
We watched a considerable number of movies over the holidays, and one thing that held true in almost every “feel good” film was a charm and warmth provided by portrayals of local shopkeepers. A jangling bell on a shop door, a resident dog or cat to greet our hero or heroine, and a friendly welcome always evokes an instant sense of community. While reality rarely lives up to Hollywood standards, the local Dripping shopkeepers who greeted us by name and treated us like friends when we entered their stores were our stars in 2010.
