PUBLIC MEETING ON MONDAY FOR RM 1826 AND CRYSTAL HILLS DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS
Hays County is planning intersection improvements on RM 1826 at Crystal Hills Drive near Driftwood. Interested citizens are invited to attend a public meeting to review the proposed improvement plans on Monday, December 13 at 6:30pm at the Friendship Creekside Fellowship Church, 14444 RM 1826.
The planned improvements at this intersection involve a dedicated left turn lane from RM 1826 to Crystal Hills Drive. Further safety improvements are proposed for the low water crossing at the entrance to the community as it’s the only way in or out.
The November 2008 citizen-supported road bond will fund the slated improvements at this intersection. The budget is just under $2 million.
Roadway construction is expected to begin in second half of 2011 and be completed in 2012.
