DRIP PIC OF THE WEEK

We can't recall the exact moment we learned it's "barbed wire" not "bobwire" as our PawPaw spelled and pronounced it. When we see a fawn entangled in it, barbed wire breaks our hearts. When it halts a charging bull, we breathe a sigh of relief. The history of "the devil's rope" is fraught with lawsuits and range wars, but no matter how it's spelled or pronounced, and whether harming or helping, along with wildflowers, cedar, and White-tailed deer, few other things so define our local landscape.
