DRIPPING MONDAY: THE WEEK AHEAD
The Rotary Club of Dripping Springs holds its Annual Veteran’s Day Tribute on Thursday, November 11, at 5:30PM at the Dripping Springs Middle School Cafeteria. The event will feature entertainment by Hill Country Community Band, DSHS Jazz Cats, Head to Toe Dance, and the DS Elementary Guitar & Fiddle Group. The Rotary will have food and refreshments available including hot dogs and hamburgers with the works. The Rotary invites you to this special tribute to veterans to help thank those men and women who have sacrificed so that we all may enjoy the American way of life. Round up your favorite dance partner and your friends for Drippin' Dancin'. Enjoy local dancing and live music on Friday from 7:00PM - 11:00PM at Hemisphere (28000 RR 12 North). Full Hemisphere cafe menu will be available, including beer and wine, as well as set-ups. No charge at the door.
The Dripping Springs High School Theatre Department continues performances of Brighton Beach Memoirs on Thursday and Friday. at 7:30PM at at the Black Box Studio Theatre, Fine Arts Building, Room F206 at Dripping Springs High School. Purchase tickets in advance at the DSHS Main Office (920 Hwy 290 W), $10 for adults and $5 for students. At the door, all tickets are $10.
Grace Food Pantry is holding a free coats for children event on Saturday. Along with the coat giveaway, the pantry will also be holding a fundraising garage sale. If you have a coat or garage sale item you can donate for the event, please contact Mary McAuley at (512) 858-1309 or Frank Raymond (512) 858-1658, or drop off items at the Pantry located at 511 Mercer. The coat and garage sale fundraiser event will be held from 8:00AM - 2:00PM at the red warehouse located 709 Highway 290 West behind A-Line Auto. Children must be present to receive a coat. The Dripping Springs Farmers Market winds up for the season on November 20, so this Saturday is your next to last to support local producers and do some community socializing. We always get the best local scoop at the farmers market! The market is from 9:00AM - Noon at The Triangle (RR 12 and 290).
La Ventana Holiday Boutique is on Saturday from 10:00AM - 3:00PM at the La Ventana Clubhouse in Driftwood. A variety of vendors with items for sale, and food and drinks available for purchase. Gate code will be posted at front along with signs leading to the Clubhouse. If you are a vendor and would like to participate email dperry@live.com for more information.
