Dinner By the Bite is on Thursday at 6:30PM at Wilson Appliance. The seventh incarnation of this delicious benefit for PAWS Shelter and Humane Society promises a howling good time with cooking demonstrations, fabulous food, libations and more! Local chefs will demonstrate how they make their signature dishes and then you eat the tasty results. Local winery Bell Springs Winery and local brewer Thirsty Planet will provide the purrfect wine and beer pairings. Tickets are $60 at the door or $50 in advance. The Dripping Springs High School Theatre Department brings Brooklyn to the Hill Country with its production of Brighton Beach Memoirs. Performances of Neil Simon’s semi-autobiographical play start this Thursday at 7:30PM. This will be the inaugural production in the Black Box Studio Theatre at the new high school campus, and a little different for Dripping Springs audiences who have not had a small theatre venue in town. This play is intended for teen and adult audiences. There is discussion of sexuality and mild language in this performance. Due to the limited audience seating in the Studio Theatre, patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at the DSHS Main Office (920 Hwy 290 W).Tickets are for sale now, $10 for adults and $5 for students in advance. At the door ALL tickets are $10. Schedule is November 4, 5, 6, 11 and 12 @ 7:30PM and November 7 @ 2:00PM at the Black Box Studio Theatre, Fine Arts Building, Room F206 at Dripping Springs High School.
More than forty Central Texas artists and craftsmen will be showing in a variety of media under the trees and eaves of Wesley Gallery (27008 RR 12) on Saturday from 10:00AM - 5:00PM for the 2nd Annual Community Arts Exhibit and Sale. The 13th Annual Empty Bowls sponsored by Dripping Springs Helping Hands benefits the Helping Hands Food Pantry which, twice each week, serves over 300 households who simply do no have enough to eat. On Sunday, from 11:00AM - 3:00PM at Sunsey Canyon Pottery (4002 E.Hwy 290), for just a $20 donation at the door, you can select an original keepsake bowl from a choice of 1,000 to enjoy a choice of delicious gourmet soups and breads provided at no cost by restaurateurs in Dripping Springs and Austin.
