HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION ON SATURDAY
Clean out the tool shed and garage today because Saturday is Household Hazardous Waste Collection at the Precinct 4 Recycling Center at Darden Hill Road. From 8:00AM - Noon, the center will help you clean out, clean up, and dispose of safely: Drain cleaners, concentrates, degreasers, oven cleaners, solvents, polishers, pool chemicals, household batteries latex and oil-based paints, spray paints, thinners, strippers, preservatives, brush cleaners, pesticides, weed killers, rat poison, insecticides, antifreeze, batteries, motor oil and oil filters, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and compact fluorescent bulbs/lights.
They cannot accept: More than 10 five-gallon buckets of chemicals, tires, medical wastes, pharmaceuticals (prescription drugs), empty containers, compressed gas cylinders or waste generated by businesses.
