7TH ANNUAL BBQ FUNDRAISER

The Salt Lick Pavilion
Salt Lick Barbecue buffet and desserts by the Bluebonnet Auxiliary. Musical entertainment provided by legendary fiddler and Grammy winner Johnny Gimble and his band. A live and silent auction, and a raffle with three big prizes. Featuring Mr.Bama Brown of KASE 101 Radio as Master of Ceremonies. This annual fundraiser by the Friends Foundation helps provide services to the needy elderly in the greater Dripping Springs Area and helps to purchase meals for Our Daily Bread. Tickets are $20 per person (children 6 and under are free) and may be purchased at Hill Country Care or Print Plus in Dripping Springs. Tickets will also be available at the door. DS DANCE

A dance with live music, no entrance fee, reasonable hours (for those who stay up for the late start time at Twin Sisters, you know what that means), and all right here in Dripping Springs! The DS All-Stars will be playing traditional country and swing dance tunes. Come to dance, come to listen to the great music. Hemisphere Cafe will be open with beer and wine selections.

RAINWATER REVIVAL

This celebration of collection, conservation, and common sense brings together rainwater harvesting professionals and enthusiasts in a fun Texas Hill Country atmosphere this fall. The festive day will be filled with informative and entertaining presentations by professionals and users of rainwater, water conservation-related business vendor booths, rainwater system displays, and plenty of experts to provide guidance and services. Live music will keep the day rocking with The Derailers, Joe McDermott, and Bob Livingston's Cowboys & Indians. Rain barrels beautifully transformed by local artists will be auctioned off at the event. There will also be food, kids' crafts, shopping, and more. Admission is free. BEST OF THE WURST

St Martin De Porres’ Parish Hall (650 Post Oak Rd)
Sample sausages from over 15 markets, quaff beer from 2 local breweries, and dance the Polka with the Der Klein Steins band from New Braunfels. And do it all while helping the Knights of Columbus raise money for their scholarship fund. Who knows, you may even get to do the Chicken Dance! Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for kids 6-12. DRIPPING SPRINGS ELEMENTARY FALL FAIR

The DSES PTA hosts its 14th annual Fall Fair. Activities include a rock wall, obstacle course, giant slide, confetti eggs, cake walk, barrel train, spooky maze, and much more, as well as lots of food, fun, and family time. All are welcome.

2ND ANNUAL WILD WEST FEST

Harrison Ranch Park
A daylong celebration and family fun day, the Fest offers activities for all ages.The heritage of Dripping Springs comes to life with western activities and other entertainment. Day-time activities include an equestrian playday, a ranch rodeo, barrel races, goat show, Imagine a Horse, arts and crafts vendors, a chili and salsa cook-off, pumpkin carving contest, an old fashion pie contest, kids heritage games, and a haunted house. Later in the day and evening, the Wild West Fest will feature a full BBQ dinner and dancing to the tunes of the Michael Myers Band. Wild West Fest benefits Harrison Ranch Park. DINNER BY THE BITE

The last Dinner By the Bite was a doggone success and a howling good time with cooking demonstrations, fabulous food, libations and more! Hosted by Wilson Appliance in Dripping Springs, Dinner By the Bite features the fine food of local chefs who demonstrate how they make their signature dishes and then you eat the tasty results. EMPTY BOWLS

This 13th annual event sponsored by Dripping Springs Helping Hands benefits the Helping Hands Food Pantry, which twice each week serves over 300 households who simply do no have enough to eat. For just a $20 donation at the door, patrons select an original keepsake bowl from a choice of 1,000 to enjoy a choice of delicious gourmet soups and breads provided at no cost by restaurateurs in Dripping Springs and Austin. Area musicians will contribute the gift of live music, and patrons will have the opportunity to bid on gift items in a silent auction. For more information visit helpinghands-drippingsprings.org.
