MCGREGOR BRIDGE UPDATE
Several of you have asked about the McGregor Bridge project, so we checked in with Hays County Commissioner Karen Ford who let us know that safety improvements and reconstruction of McGregor Bridge over Barton Creek are temporarily delayed due to finalization of right of way agreements and closings. From Commissioner Ford:
“We’re pushing to get all the legal documents signed and closed so the project can get underway by early October. We accepted a very competitive bid price and have a contractor sitting on go. Once we’re able to schedule a start date, we plan to send out a postcard to the mail route customers in the McGregor Road area to let everyone know — and we’ll alert the Babble as well."
