DRIPPING WEEKEND

We are ready for the weekend!

On Saturday, from 6:30AM - 2:00PM, the 4-H will be holding a Fundraiser Bake Sale at the Signature Gas station (RR 12 and 290 290). Also, starting a bit later at 10:00AM and until 2:00PM, the FFA will holding a Fundraiser Car WashNote: To the parents/guardians/supervisors of the 4-H Reporter — she is so polite and professional when submitting the 4-H news tips. All should be proud.

After you've met your future food producers, be sure to head across to 290 (mind the cars!) to the Dripping Springs Farmers Market. As the weather cools, the vendors are coming back. In this week are Bell Springs Products, Morning Glory Farms with unsprayed apples and a variety of herbs and peppers, Granger beef (we love their pre-formed burger patties — they get the thickness just right), Twin County Dorper (ask for their slow cooked lamb shoulder on the grill recipe), My Chihuahua Bites Salsa, Jupiter's Child, Earthwise Herbals, Rocking B Ranch, Lazy 8 Ranch with eggs and breakfast mixes, and Onion Creek Farm with eggs, Bella Verdi Bibb lettuce, yellow squash, basil, and a hot little chile called guajillo. The market is Saturday from 9:00AM - Noon at The Triangle (RR 12 and 290). See you there!

Have your child's safety seat checked by a certified technician at HEB on Saturday from 10:00AM - 1:00PM as part of Child Passenger Safety Week. Children need to be with the parent or adult caregiver during the inspection. For more information, contact Texans In Motion at (512) 291-8944.

We got the beat! We love drumlines so we're particularly excited about the 2nd Annual Dripping Springs Drumline Contest on Saturday starting at 11:00AM to DS Tiger Stadium (111 Tiger Lane). The contest will feature over a dozen Texas high school drumlines from the Central Texas area as well as Houston and Corpus Christi.
