DRIPPING ART: RAIN BARREL ART TRAIL PREVIEW

Leading up to the Rainwater Revival on October 9 here in Dripping Springs, rain barrels painted by 6 local artists will be displayed in locations around the area before being auctioned off at the event. Proceeds from the auction will be awarded to a Hays County school or class for a water conservation project. The barrels are all now in place and their various trail locations will be announced soon (you've probably already seen one or two around town). In the meantime, Dripping artist Nancy Paton has provided a photographic sneak peek at her rain barrel art, The Confused Agave...It Thinks It's a Barrel Cactus. Known for her Agave series, Nancy's work exhibits her profound appreciation for the variations in color of the majestic agave.

Trail locations for viewing the barrels before the event will be posted on rainwaterrevival.com .
