THE SAGE IN BLOOM IS LIKE ... RAIN IN THE SKY?

As we posted last summer, the sage Edith of Driftwood told us many moons ago that if we really want to know when it will rain, watch the sage not the weather channel. The belief is that it will rain 3 days after the sage blooms. Our sage started blooming right around 3 days ago, and we started watching the sky this morning. Family predictions have been mixed. Cousin Judy suggested the humidity and atmospheric pressure might be causing the sage to bloom. This morning, Babbler's mother was aligning with the local weather forecasters who put the chances at just 10% (in other words, no rain).  Just as we were typing this post, we received a call from downtown Austin where it just started raining. Will the Dripping sage be right?
