PAWS DOG OF THE WEEK: BREWSTER
We harangued our parents for years trying to get them to rescue a dog. We argued that it would bring them joy and companionship and they would be saving a life, but they just weren't buying it. But we bugged them for so long that Babbler's dad finally relented and said, fine, they would adopt a rescue dog but only a Border Terrier or Border Terrier mix. We soon figured out his selection was due in no small part that it is awfully hard to find a Border Terrier or Border Terrier mix in a shelter. But we are relentless, searching high and low, and ultimately found, in a shelter in Durant, Oklahoma, a skinny little Border Terrier mix who had no idea how much her life was about to change. A man of his word, our dad drove to Durant and rescued what was then just a scraggly mess of skin and bones, but who is now living large in Dripping Springs! For anyone looking for a Border Terrier or mix, PAWS can save you a trip outside the state as handsome Brewster, a Border Terrier mix about 7 months old, is just down the road in Kyle. To
learn more about Brewster, above, and the other wonderful dogs (and cats) for
adoption, call PAWS Tuesday through Saturday at (512) 268-1611or visit
