HERE COMES THE SUNBLOCK
Now that the rain, rain has gone away at least for awhile, we're back to outside chores. Even when it's cloudy outside, we rarely leave the house without a hat and sunblock (most of our ancestors hail from foggy, moss-covered lands). While there are sunblocks aplenty, we look for ones that are chemical free, and every year after much research we swear by a new one. But this year's go-to sunblock was quite surprisingly thanks to an impulse buy at the cash register at King's Feed & Hardware in Wimberley.Climb On Mineral Sunblock is made by Climb On, a company in Wimberley. The chemical free SPF 30 block contains zinc oxide 20%, a base of food grade grapeseed and apricot kernel oils, unrefined Fair Trade shea butter, organic aloe vera gel, yellow beeswax, wheatgerm oil, tocopherol (vitamin E) and therapeutic grade essential oils of neroli and lavender.
We don't rock climb (at least on purpose), but we do work up a sweat in the summer and, so far, no stinging sunblock running into our eyes. Climb On Mineral Sunblock blends in nicely with little to no creepy white mask look left behind.
