PAWS REMINDER THAT FIREWORKS ARE NOT FUN FOR FURRY ONES
Missing dog posters and emails often spike after bad thunderstorms and fireworks-fueled holidays. If you have pets and will be shooting fireworks this year, PAWS Shelter & Humane Society offers these tips to keep it a happy holiday for your furry family members as well:
- Bring pets indoors with windows and doors closed.
- Use soothing background music or television to dampen the noise.
- Close curtains to block flashing lights.
- Utilize chew toys to create a distraction.
- Be sure pets are wearing current identification in case they do run away.
