DRIPPING YOUTH GONE WILD
We are lucky to live in a place still filled with the beauty of wildlife and be populated by talented photographers! Howard Williams and Terry Brim capture wildlife around Dripping Springs in various stages of life.

Terry Brim photographs the famous Red-shouldered Hawk family for, perhaps, one last time as he predicts the chicks probably aren’t going to be around much longer. One of them was flying (albeit somewhat ungainly) and away from the nest early last week. Photograph by Terry Brim.

Howard Williams found this Monarch butterfly chrysalis last week, he reports not having found one in years. From Monarchbutterflyusa.com : "The outside of the chrysalis is really clear and what you see is the green 'pupa' inside. As the pupa changes from the body parts of a caterpillar into the body parts of a butterfly, you can see a definite color change inside the chrysalis. When it's ready to make its way into the world, the chrysalis color will turn brown, yellow and orange." Learn more about the monarch chrysalis here. Photograph by Howard Williams.
