Live music tonight from 6:30PM - 9:30PM at Hemisphere Marketplace & Cafe (28000 RR 12). Musical guests are Lonnie Atkinson and Alex Dormont. Enjoy a complementary appetizer with the purchase of wine or beer. For more information call (512) 858-9800.
Beginning this Saturday, the Dripping Springs Farmers Market is introducing Artisan First Saturdays which will feature hand-crafted works of local artists in addition to the regular produce market. The artisan vendor booths offering jewelry and other local art will now be added on the first Saturday of each month between June 5 and November 6. This Saturday's market should be the largest one yet. If all the vendors who have committed raise their tents, there will be 21 vendors on site. Dripping Springs Farmers Market is Saturday from 9:00AM - Noon at The Triangle (RR 12 and 290).
Also on Saturday, from 11:00AM - 3:00PM, Ruby's Emporium hosts an Open House to celebrate their recent move to a new and bigger location, just two doors down from the previous location (222 W Hwy 290). Ruby's invites you to stop by to see the beautiful new store, have some refreshments, and sign up for a door prize drawing. For more information call (512) 858-4220.
Beginning this Sunday, June 6 at 7:00PM, and every Sunday in June, Church of the Holy Spirit (301 Hays Country Acres Road) will play host to free concerts for the whole family. Bring blankets, chairs, picnics, and even easels for you creative types to enjoy rock, blues, gospel, and Americana on the hillside lawn. For more information, contact llwilkinson@gmail.com.
