DRIPPING MONDAY: THE WEEK AHEAD

A benefit for Dripping resident Amberlyn Fett to help defray medical expenses for her recent lung transplant will take 6:00PM - 9:00PM Tuesday at Hills Cafe (4700 Congress Avenue) in Austin. Live music and more. $12 at the door. For more information visit Amberlyn's website

Onion Creek Kitchens at Juniper Hills Farm has a rare few last minute spots that have opened up in their cooking class on Saturday at 2:00PM. If you've never taken a class there, it is an absolute treat and this weekend's class sounds like a hoot and a holler. Learn how to make — and then eat —  “Battered” Fries, Avocado Fries, Dipping Sauces (Chipotle Ranch, Tangy Ketchup, Spicy BBQ Mustard, Lemony Mayo), Spicy Buttermilk Onion Rings, “Haute” Dogs in Pâte à Choux, Trio of Sliders (Bacon Cheddar Hickory, Blue Cheese Caramelized Onion, and Horseradish Wild Mushroom), Whoopie Pies with Heath Crunch and Mini Vanilla Milkshakes. Class price is $100 but far cheaper than a vacation, and receiving a class is an excellent (and unforgettable) gift (we've been lucky enough to be on that end, as well). If you've not been out to Juniper Hills Farm, it has a gorgeous Tuscan vibe.  For more information, call or email (830) 833-0910 or info@juniperhillsfarm.com. They are located between Dripping and Blanco off RR 165.

Dripping Springs Farmers Market is Saturday from 9:00AM - Noon at The Triangle (RR12 and 290). Rumor is we'll be getting some new vendor updates a little later this week. Stay tuned. Should be peachy keen news!
