DRIPPING THURSDAY

Award-winning educator and author, Dr. Antonio Carvajal, has graciously agreed to share his experiences Thursday evening from 5:30PM - 6:30PM at Dripping Springs Community Library located (501 Sportsplex Drive). Dr. Carvajal was the co-founder of Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U), a residential program for at-risk youth. He received the Jaime Escalante "Stand and Deliver" Award for his contributions, and his book, Essential Moments, was inspired by Dr. Carvajal's nine years of teaching experience in the public school system and thirty-four years in higher education. The library's evening with Dr. Carvajal will include refreshments and a book signing.

Regular readers know we are PAWS supporters and we are particularly excited about their Dinner By the Bite event Thursday evening at 6:30PM at Wilson Appliance. Watch local chefs prepare their menu highlights and then eat the tasty results! Tickets are $60 at the door and last word was the event is extremely close to sell out. In addition to the opportunity to be among the first tasters of Jester King brews, Twin Liquors has put together perfect wine pairings for the menu (posted on Monday). For more information, contact Sandy Johnson at (512) 894-0129.

For their Thursday Bistro Night, Thyme & Dough is serving up Smoked Salmon Pizza, Freshly Made Hummus with Homemade Pita Bread, Brisket Dinner, Lasagna and much more. Get the full menu here . Garden gates open at 6:00PM.
