DRIPPING SPRINGS FARMERS MARKET ON SATURDAY AND EVERY SATURDAY

Starting this Saturday, the Dripping Springs Farmers Market will be held every Saturday for the season. Buy from your local farmers and producers from 9:00AM -  Noon at The Triangle (RR12 and 290). For a current list of vendors, visit the official market site here. If you haven't been yet this year, Thyme & Dough is now there selling coffee and pastries and fresh baked bread. And we have Bell Springs Products' Lavender Spearmint bar as our new non-food addiction. For Saturday's market, Marianne at Onion Creek Farm has confirmed she will have asparagus, spinach, romaine and oakleaf lettuces, Swiss chard, lamb's quarters, fresh shallots, garlic chives, oregano, rosemary, Pink Beauty and Cherry Belle radishes, and baby beets with big, beautiful tops. For cooking inspiration, check out Gourmet's Pasta with Beet Greens recipe. We tossed some of Twin County's lamb chops on the grill last Sunday evening for dinner, they would be perfect with this recipe.

We "helped" Marianne pick this morning at Onion Creek Farm. Our local  farmers should have tip jars at their stands!
