MEET THE HTGCD CANDIDATES AT A PUBLIC FORUM TUESDAY EVENING IN WIMBERLEY
As we posted last week, a very important election is coming up on May 8 for 3 board positions
on the Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District (HTGCD). The
HTGCD is a local unit of government authorized by the Texas Legislature
and ratified at the local level to manage and protect groundwater. As
our neck of the woods continues to grow at a rapid pace, it is
important for all of us to understand the interconnectivity of
groundwater, surface water, spring flow, habitat,
quality of life, property values, upstream recharge, downstream
uses, and more.
To help us all understand, and learn which candidates best represent the interests of Dripping Springs, Driftwood, and our surrounding areas, the League of Women Voters is hosting the HTGCD candidates at a forum to be held Tuesday, April 13, at 7:00PM at the Wimberley Community Center. If you want to learn more about HTGCD, the candidates, and why this election matters, attend this public forum.
