DRIPPING WEEKEND
Hemisphere Marketplace & Cafe (28000 RR 12) hosts live music on Friday night from 6:30PM -9:30OPM. And not just any live music — Tony Harrison and Alex Dormont! If you are not familiar with these guys, they play Broken Spoke in Austin every week and they are much beloved around here. Enjoy their swinging sounds while sipping libations in the lovely surroundings of Hemisphere.
The Dripping Springs Farmers Market is Saturday and we cannot wait! The market kicks off at 9:00AM at The Triangle (RR12 and 290) and winds up at Noon. Bubby's Biscuits will be selling special Easter treats only at the farmers market. The dog treats are healthy, delicious, and made with 100% organic sweet potatoes and carrots They come in festive Easter shapes and bags and word is dogs go crazy for them. Onion Creek Farm will have asparagus, spinach (rinsed an spun dry), swiss chard, leeks, shallots (young and fresh-pulled), garlic chives, oregano and rosemary. Plus eggs from the flock of free-range hens. Bella Verdi Farms will have Bibb, basil, microgreens, maybe some romaine and green leaf lettuce. And much more from many other vendors.
Drippings Springs Presbyterian Church, Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, MOPS, and New Life Lutheran come together to sponsor a Community Easter Egg Hunt at Holy Spirit on Saturday. The hunt starts at Noon with an Easter story and egg hunt for children 0-12 (egg hunt will be divided age groups). Hamburgers and hot dogs for all will be served immediately following the egg hunt. In case of inclement weather, the egg hunt will be held indoors. For more information, call (512) 858-4924.
