DRIPPING MONDAY: THE WEEK AHEAD

On Thursday, the Dripping Springs Community Library holds a Texas Flower Fling from 1:00PM - 3:00PM or 5:30PM. The wildflower program is planned especially for the elementary crowd and others ready for a colorful spring.  Participants will hear legends about the native wildflowers of Texas and create wildflowers of their own, all while learning more about the delicate beauties of our state. For more information, visit the library’s website or telephone (512) 858-7825.

The Dripping Springs Women's Club holds its luncheon next Wednesday but the deadline to RSVP is noon this Friday. Scott Burns, noted syndicated financial writer for over 30 years, will speak on the ups and downs of investing and give suggestions on how to make better choices in your future investments. The cost of the luncheon is $20 per person and is payable at the door but attendees must have a reservation. To RSVP, contact Laura Payne at (512) 894-0946 or e-mail womenofds@yahoo.com.

Hemisphere Marketplace & Cafe (28000 RR 12) hosts live music on Friday night from 6:30PM -8:30OPM.  Enjoy the sweet sounds of the Intrepid Duo — jazz guitar and vocals of Alex Dormont and Lonnie Atkinson — while sipping libations in the lovely surroundings of Hemisphere.

Spring has sprung and the Dripping Springs Farmers Market gets back into it on Saturday from 9:00AM - Noon at The Triangle (RR 12 and 290). In addition to the wonderful produce and goods of our local farmers and vendors, this year the market will also offer breakfast tacos from Crucita's, coffee and pastries from Thyme & Dough, plus live music.
