CAROLYN GREGORY UPDATE

In November, we reported the tragic car wreck that took the life of Dripping Springs resident John Gregory and that left his wife Carolyn in intensive care. In addition to his famed work on telescope design, John Gregory was a passionate crusader for "dark sky" regulations to prevent light pollution. Thanks to efforts like his we can all still enjoy the heavens above. After a valiant fight, Carolyn Gregory succumbed to her severe injuries last week. Carolyn devoted her life to the teaching and performing of beautiful music. As an elementary music teacher in the Austin schools for 32 years, she was chosen as Teacher of the Year in two different schools. She was a co-founder, with her sister Mollie Tower, of the Music Memory program, a classical music listening curriculum for elementary children, which is sponsored across the state by UIL. To learn more about Carolyn's life and the Celebration of Life service planned in her honor, visit this link here and enter "Gregory" in the Search Memorials box.
