DRIPPING FOOD: ONEYDA'S

Last week, after a long day of work, one of us stopped by Oneyda’s for take-out. Unlike many Dripping restaurants, Oneyda’s is open in the evening (until 6PM most days of the week, a little later on Friday and Saturday). The family-run and family-friendly restaurant, just across from Hemisphere on RR 12, features a focused menu of Tex-Mex fare — our Honduran friend Jose reports that the kitchen also turns out authentic Honduran dishes on occasion as well. We went with the Carne Asada which was well-seasoned,freshly prepared and served with nopalitos (cactus), the slightly tart taste of which which really set the dish apart. Bottles of Mexican Cokes (the only kind of Coke we’ll drink – real cane sugar) were cold and ready to go. Thank you for being open in the evening, Oneyda’s!
