DRIPPING MONDAY: THE WEEK AHEAD
The Dripping Springs Women's Club Holiday Party is at 7:00PM on Thursday but the RSVP deadline is Monday. To be held at Broadway Bank (320 E Hwy 290), the event is complimentary to members, but guests (male or female) are welcome at $25.00 each, payable at the door. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, a carving station, and dessert and coffee will be provided by Gourmet Gals & Guys Catering, with wines provided by Twin Liquors, and music by John and JD Doucet. We ran into Fabienne tonight and she promises lamb on the Thyme & Dough menu on Thursday evening. The last lamb night was so popular they ran out earlier than expected (Dripping loves lamb — who knew?), but she promises plenty of humanely raised, free range lamb this week. As we've said before, we have a new found love for this biblical meat and, thanks to Fabienne, it will receive the respect and preparation it deserves
The Christmas in the Hills Tour of Homes is Saturday from10:00AM - 5:00PM. The Friends of the Dripping Springs Community Library host this annual tour of festively decorated local homes. Admission is $15 and tickets are available at the library, at Print Plus on Highway 290 and at Hemisphere Marketplace on RR 12. On Sunday from Noon - 5:00PM it's the Mustang Mare-y Christmas Barn Tour. This benefit fundraiser for the Texas H2Oasis mustang rescue, allows you to tour five premier Western and English barns decorated for the Christmas season. Sample appetizers, tapas, and hors d'oeuvres. Enjoy training, dressage, and jumping demos. Advance tickets are $15 ; at door $20; 12 and under $5.
