DRIPPING MONDAY: THE WEEK AHEAD

Entries for the Christmas lighting contest are due to City Hall on Tuesday. Everyone is welcome to participate with winners awarded in three categories: residential, business, or public service/nonprofit. Entry is free and the winners will receive a special award at the Christmas Tree Lighting at Christmas on Mercer Street, and recognition for your business/organization on the Triangle along with city publicity. Hill Country Top Chef is Thursday from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Wilson Appliance (4925 E Highway 290). Watch as 5 finalists compete and have their dishes rated by local celebrity judges. Tickets are $45 each and all proceeds go to benefit DS Helping Hands food pantry. For more information, visit hillcountrytopchef.net.

Christmas on Mercer is Saturday from 10:00AM - 6:00PM. Arts and crafts, live music, horse drawn carriage and pictures with Santa on Mercer. Then, from 6:00PM - 9:00PM at The Triangle, there will be the lighting of the Christmas tree at dark while singing Christmas carols. This event is sponsored by the City of Dripping Springs and the Dripping Springs Lions Club.
