ARMED ROBBERY ATTEMPT AT DRIPPING SPRINGS GROCERY

Our friend Jose arrived at Dripping Springs Grocery last night to the sight of multiple law enforcement cars and learned that an attempted armed robbery had just gone down. Around 6:00PM, a masked robber entered the store brandishing a shotgun and demanded money from the clerk who complied. As he handed the robber a bag with money, a customer in the store grabbed the shotgun. In the ensuing scuffle, the shotgun went off, firing into the store ceiling. The suspect dropped the gun and fled the store, jumping into a waiting getaway car described as a dark colored Honda with either paper or obscured plates. The money was recovered and no one was injured (thankfully).

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 24 years of age, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing blue jeans, a grey UT hoodie and a white mask (possibly a pillow case). Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to please contact the Hays County Sheriff's Office.
