3RD ANNUAL LONE STAR HUDDLE UP ON SATURDAY

In conjunction with lung cancer awareness month in November, Rexanna’s Foundation hosts the 3rd Annual Lone Star Huddle Up on Saturday at at the Salt Lick Pavilion at 7:00PM. The event includes Salt Lick barbecue and music by Rick Treviño, the Lake Travis Fiddlers and Michael Shane Borden. Although lung cancer kills more people than breast, prostate and colon cancers combined, lung cancer receives scant attention in no small part because most people who get lung cancer die, leaving few survivors to pursue the cause. Learn more about the event and the foundation's inspiration, Rexanna Hawkins, a a lifelong educator, coach and nonsmoker throughout her life who was diagnosed only two months before she lost her battle with lung cancer at age 49 in 2006.
