At 6:30PM, Dinner by the Bite at Wilson Appliance (4205 E Hwy 290) serves up cooking demonstrations, food and libations from Mandolas Winery - Trattoria Lisina, Creek Road Cafe, Linda Allen Catering, Verde's, Rolling in Thyme & Dough. Buy tickets early for $50 or $60 at the door. We attended the the Spring Dinner by the Bite benefit for PAWS and had an absolute ball. For more information, contact Patti Clark at (512) 894-0756 or pandhclark@aol.com

If you're looking for some of us tonight, we'll be at Thyme & Dough supping on roasted lamb. Thanks to Twin County and their humanely raised, free range lamb, we have a new found love for this biblical meat and, thanks to Fabienne, the meat will receive the respect and preparation it deserves with with smashed veggies and greens, roasted potatoes, garlic, rosemary and mint. Also on the menu tonight is risotto with peas, roast chicken and caramelized onions. And, for the vegetarians, kidney bean curry with potatoes and fresh picked greens. Plus the regular rotation of popular meat and veggie dishes. Get the complete menu here.
