DRIPPING SPRINGS FARMERS MARKET ON SATURDAY

Our friend Marianne at Onion Creek Farm will be there with: Arugula, Long Scarlet Radishes, Turnips (Japanese White 'Salad', Scarlet Queen 'Salad', Purple Top White), Okra (maybe a little), Beets (maybe a few bunches of young ones, more on 11/21), Spinach (a few pounds of rinsed and spun dry, more on 11/21), Jalapenos, Serranos, Aji peppers (fruity, hot, small, bright yellow), Green chiles (may be the last time), Padron Peppers (one last game of roulette!), Green Bells (some), Squash (some), Basil (last chance to make pesto, will bring some pound bags as well as bunches), Purple Basil, Cilantro, Dill, Oregano, Garlic Chives (pesto recipe), and Rosemary. Note: Marianne will be posting turnip recipes on her website before the market at ocfarm.com.
For the carnivores, Red Barn Beef will be at the market with flashfrozen, vacuum packed locally raised and humanely harvested beef in avariety of cuts (we had their steaks last week — tender anddelicious!) and, of course, our beloved Twin County Lamb (it is shepherd's pieweather!).
