After months of planning, filming and editing, the Hays County Historical Commission has completed their new documentary, "Captain Jack" on Captain Jack C. Hays and his Texas Rangers. The 30-minute film tells the story of Hays County’s namesake from his arrival in Texas in late 1837 to his death in Oakland, California, in 1883.Check out the free public screening on Sunday at 4:00PM at Salt Lick Thurman's Mansion.
