CELEBRATE TEXAS NATIVE PLANT WEEK TODAY AT THE PCT 4 OFFICES

Reminder that to celebrate the inaugural Texas Native Plant Week, Hays County Commissioner Karen Ford is hosting a Native Plant Walk and Talk at the Precinct 4 office in Dripping, 195 Roger Hanks Parkway, today from11:00AM to Noon-ish. Anyone interested in learning to landscape using native plants and grasses and planting for wildlife is welcome to come by for an informal, but informative hour’s walk and talk around the office site led by Betty Lambright and Ray Franklin. Ms. Lambright is the Hays County Environmental Compliance Specialist, but also a landscape designer and certified arborist. She was responsible for final design and installation of the Pct. 4 office landscape. Mr. Franklin is a Hays County Master Naturalist and expert on native grasses, weeds and shrubs.
