RANDY ROGERS BAND BENEFIT CONCERT ON NOVEMBER 6TH

Our good friend Carolyn's granddaughter, Amberlyn Fett, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when she was 6 weeks old. Amberlyn has stared down this fatal lung disease and is now 20, but it has been a struggle and this past week was a frightening one. As she and her family wait for news on a double lung transplant, a charity benefit concert has been organized to help with medical bills. Some of you may have read about Amberlyn last year for her inspiring charity work at Dell Children's Hospital, now it's Amberlyn's turn for others to help her. Amberlyn and her family live here in Dripping, and the Randy Rogers Band has organized the charity benefit concert at Nutty Brown. The concert is set for November 6 and will not only feature the awesome Randy Rogers Band, but some truly cool auction items including a guitar autographed by...wait for it...George Strait! It will be a great night for some great Dripping folks — hope to see you there!

If some people have their way, Nutty Brown will no longer be around to help out with worthy causes such as this one. There are stories today on both KXAN and Fox 7's websites about the latest attempts by disgruntled neighbors to have Nutty Brown shut down . . . I believe there is a local petition circulating to show support for owner Mike Farr and the Nutty Brown -- if you get the chance, please add your name!
