PAWS DOG OF THE WEEK: LUCY

Did you know that "pit bull" is not a breed, but a type of dog, just as the words "retriever," "terrier," or "shepherd" describe a certain type of dog, not a breed? In 2000, a woman moved into her new home to find the previous owners had left their pit bull behind. Although aware of all the stereotypes, and a little scared because of them, she still decided to keep the dog. Since then, she has become a pit bull champion. Read her story at a happypitbull.com.
