DRIPPING THURSDAY

The Dripping Springs Community Library (501 Sportsplex) presents "Texas Beneath Our Feet" with guest speaker Dan Potter of the Texas Historical Commission. Humans have traveled in the Dripping area for thousands of years, and left traces behind. All of them — native Americans, Spanish explorers, soldiers in frontier outposts and pioneers — have left clues about their lives scattered about our Texas Hill County. Join Mr. Potter at the library at 5:30PM to learn more — find out where to look, how to recognize artifacts, and what to do if you find something.

And Thyme & Dough will try to curry your favor tonight from 6:00PM - 9:00PM. Get menu details here.

I was late to hear Mr. Potter, but was very glad I did attend. An excellent presentation, and he covered a lot of information in a short period of time. I was very pleased to see a good turnout. It proves, that a good number of people in the area are interested in historical events that happened before our time.
Thank you, for bringing the event to our attention. I would have missed it otherwise.

Thanks DS Babble for sharing the DSCL program information with the community! The DS Community Library staff thoroughly enjoys bringing people who have questions and people who have answers together. It was a real treat to host Dan Potter's talk. If you missed Dan Potter's talk and are interested in Texas archeology, try exploring the Texas Historical Commission's informative website http://www.thc.state.tx.us/
    It is pretty cool!
