DRIPPING FUN COMING UP

The promise of cooler temperatures has many of us ready to crawl out of our melting hot summer cocoon and have some fun. Event submissions on DrippingThings.com are picking up, so if you haven't checked out the page lately, or submitted your event, please do so. A few recently added events include the DS Drumline Contest on Saturday, September 19. Fourteen high school band drumlines will participate in the first annual event, sponsored by the DS Drumline and the DSHS Bands. A panel of three nationally acclaimed judges, featuring Scott Johnson from the The Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, will adjudicate the event. Near the end of this month, Melody Moon Ranch in Driftwood plays host to National Alpaca Farm Days. This is a free opportunity for the public to meet alpacas and learn more about these inquisitive, unique animals with hands-on demonstrations and activities for kids. Halloween holds Scooby's Haunted Carnival at the Texas Hearing & Service Dogs Visitors Center. This fun benefit will feature Scooby's Haunted Maze, Mystery Cake Walk, Costume Contest with Prizes and Special Guests: Scooby, Shaggy, Daphne and the Gang!
