DRIPPING BUSINESS: JEWELRY, RUBY'S, DANCING AND RAY'S

Dripping's all abuzz over HEB's announcement, but our local businesses have some news of their own!

Leo Vielman
, a jeweler for about 25 years, has opened a jewelry and repair shop in Dripping. Leo reports he does all kinds of repairs, stone replacement, ring sizing, soldering and watch batteries while you wait. He is located at 1301 B Highway 290 West in Dripping, which is inside Guys and Gals (next to the Valero). His phone number is  (512) 858-4714, or leave a message at (512) 436-6132.

Sandy Pedrazas of Ruby's Emporium has been scouting new inventory for the past few weeks, and now she's back with the goods. She's got lots of new inventory acquired during her adventures and is excited to see all the folks who dropped in while she was gone. To celebrate her return, she'll have cookies, coffee, tea, or a glass of wine for anybody who stops in this weekend. Ruby's is located at 222 Highway 290 West.

The Dance Pointe will have an Open House Saturday, August 15, 1:00PM - 3:00PM and Saturday, August 22, 10:00AM - Noon. Tour the studio, check out their professional-grade dance flooring, and meet the instructors (Cammie O’Hara, Anna Freemyer, & Madison Jarvis). The Dance Pointe is located at 26550 RR12, Suite 3 (Oakwood Plaza). Call  (512) 745-5222 for more information.

And, last but not least, cheers and thank you to our newest advertiser Ray's Autowerks. Ray's is located at 560 Longview Road here in Dripping and open every day from 7:00AM - 9:00PM or if you cannot make those hours, you can drop off your car. They offer pick up and delivery service and you can call Ray directly on his cell phone at (512) 787-3181 or call the shop at (512) 858-1125. Folks like Ray's help keep the Babble up and running.

YES! Dance lessons in DS! These gals look like they have it going in spades. Can't wait to sign up for Jitterbug (Texas Swing for all the newbie Texans). Now all we need is for someone to turn the old DS Ace Hardware into the new Dance-Across-Drippin' Hall. Our town is blessed with a throng of musical talent, so there would be no problem filling the stage. How many of you dancers (or dancer wannabes) dream of a 5-minute drive for an evening of musical joy? Raise your hand high!
