FESTIVAL OF CHEESE IN AUSTIN ON SATURDAY

For the first time ever, the American Cheese Society awards — the Golden Globes and Oscars of cheese — are being held in Texas. And, better yet, in Austin!In a competition featuring over a thousandcheeses, Dripping's own Pure Luck has brought homethe world-renown ACS awards in past years, and we wait with bated cheese breath for this year's announcements. On Saturday, the ACS holds its Festival Cheese, the culmination of a week of celebrating the best of American cheese and showcasing all of the cheeses entered in the Annual Judging & Competition. Saturday's event has been described as, "the most outrageous display of cheeses ever experienced". They say you have to see it to believe, so these Dripping cheeseheads are dusting off our boots and heading into the city on Saturday to see it (and eat it).
